Android phones have really come a long way. I use mine everyday for all types of tasks which

now include reading my favorite books using the Kindle program that now comes with the new Android phones.

The only problem is all the books that I wanted to put on it from the Amazon would cost me loads, and I simply couldn’t afford to spend $12 per book. So after a few Kindle downloads, i reluctantly went back to reading normal books to save money.

Then, after some Google searching, I discovered myPadMedia. It’s this new site which provides thousands of books, comic books, newspapers, games and more for the iPad, but whats best it that it works with my Android phone as well!

All you have to do is make sure you have an ePub reader on your phone. There are many available in the Android Marketplace like Aldiko and FBReader.

I must say, I was sceptical at first, but after reading some reviews, I went ahead and signed up for the site. Let me just say, this site delivers MORE than it promises. It’s not really an app or software, but a membership site which provides access to a whole huge database of downloads. With a couple of clicks, I had the entire Harry Potter series on my phone, without it costing me anything for each download! All you have to do is search what you want, select, and download! It is so easy, and so simple.

This site has an enormous variety of content. I’m a big fan of the X-Men comic book series and I am now able to download the latest issues to my phone so I can read them when I’m on the way to work, or bored in the office. I’m also now able to read my favorite newspaper The New York Times directly on my phone in the morning. Pretty cool, huh? Not only does myPadMedia save me time, but it also saves me a ton of money. Who would pay $12 a book when you can download tons of books anytime from myPadMedia without it costing me anything?

I’m a big fan of myPadMedia, and I strongly recommend it to all Android Phone users. My phone is now filled with over 38 books, 10 comic books, and plenty more, and I can’t live without it!

You can see for yourself at the myPadMedia website. They even have 60 day money back guarantee, so you can’t lose!

The iPad is a marvel of mondern technology. When it first came on the scene folks didn’t really know what to think of it. Is it a laptop?, or a Phone?. Turns out it is a great in between device.

One thing I really enjoy with my iPad is watching movies. I use it to watch streaming video with Netflix, and recently just ordered a video off the iTunes app directly from my iPad.

It was easy to do, just hop in the iTunes app and search for the movie that I wanted. The movies have comments and ratings, so you can easily see how others rated the movie. The actual rental of the movie was a breeze, just choose the movie and confirm my iTunes password.

If your internet connection is good enough, you can start watching the movie after a little buffering. In my case, I let the whole movie download to the iPad, and can watch the movie later – up to 30 days later. After that it won’t be available to you anymore. Once you start the movie, you will have 24 hours to watch the entire movie, so make sure your ready to watch when you start it.

If you search Google,  you will notice many people exclaiming: Install XP on your iPad – Run Windows 7 Natively on your iPad!  Well these guys are all wrong.

I went looking for this because I was interested in running some other kind of OS on my iPad.  I wanted to feel like this tablet was more of a laptop replacement, for when I needed more ‘abilities’ when i’m out and about.  I found many YouTube videos of people showing off Windows in the iPad, but curiously nobody would say how they got it to work.

Well the truth is that to this date, I found that no one has Windows XP or 7 running on the iPad.  (If i am wrong then please let me know).

If you see Windows 7 or XP running on an iPad, then they are probably running some kind of Remote Desktop (thin) client or VNC app.

In my searchings I came across WYSE Pocket Cloud, and while it is not Windows XP or 7 running natively, it does give great performance remoting into a computer that I have at home.  All I had to do is allow remote desktop connections into my computer, then open the WYSE program and put the computer’s information in the setup screen.

It worked quite well.  It was not exactly what I was looking for in terms of a more powerful iPad device, but could come handy in a pinch if I needed access to something that the iPad cannot do.

I paid 14.99 for this app out of the App store.  It is a promotional price for a limited time.  Regular price $29.99
